WANG AS DIRECTOR OF POLYMER TECHNOLOGIES 20-Year Veteran to Accelerate Company’s Efforts to Develop and Commercialize Advanced Composite Materials Rockland MA, March 28, 2006 – Globe Composite Solutions, Ltd. (www.globecomposite.com) announced today that Dr. Xiu J. Wang has accepted the position of Director of Polymer Technologies for the Dallas-based advanced composites parts manufacturer. In the capacity of Director, Dr. Wang will be responsible for developing new materials and technologies to support Globe’s goal to remain at the forefront of formulating and producing cost-effective, high-performing composite alloyed materials for military and industrial applications. Dr. Wang has 20 years of experience in a wide variety of polymer-based sciences including developing polymer blends, composites, alloyed materials, compound formulation, processing and characterization. Dr. Wang also has expertise in a wide spectrum of thermoplastic and thermoset elastomers, fluoroplastics, polyolefins, engineered and high-performance polymers. He was most recently the Technical Director at Modern Dispersions, Inc. where he led the development of several new products, including semi-conductive materials, bipolar conductive composites for Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell applications and thermally conductive and unique Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) composites. “We are extremely fortunate to find someone of Xiu’s broad expertise to lead our research and development efforts at Globe," said Carl W. Dr. Wang holds a Doctorate in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts (Lowell), a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Ohio University (Athens, OH) and a BS in Polymer Science from Dalian University of Science and Technology (Dalian, China).
