Synthetic Low-Voltage Conveyor System Announced

Lightweight composite materials dramatically increases functionality and durability

DALLAS, TX—January 22, 2003. KFGI, Ltd. announced the introduction of IMAC-24™ (Integrated Modular Accumulation Conveyor) a new line of modular low-voltage conveyors utilizing BRANDONITE™, a new family of high-performance composite polymers.

“The use of these space-age composite polymers has radically changed how we design and manufacture conveyor systems” said Carl W. Forsythe, President of KFGI, “BRANDONITE™ has enabled us to fully exploit our patented modular design to create IMAC-24™, the next generation of low-voltage conveyors.” The IMAC-24™ system is a complete “plug-and-play” product line that incorporates BRANDONITE™ composite side frames, internally-driven rollers and a wide array of modular control units. Forsythe explained, “We now have a product that has incredible durability with all the benefits of low-voltage, site-level control.”

The special elastomeric compounds integrated into BRANDONITE™ creates a cost-effective, high performing delivery system that is lightweight, modular, durable and quiet. “Conveyor side frames made from BRANDONITE™ can outperform metallic conveyors in virtually any customer-defined performance criteria”, noted John Boodée, Senior Vice President of Material Handling Division at KFGI. “The IMAC-24™ can withstand the tremendous wear and tear of continuous starting and stopping and is significant quieter than other conveyor systems currently available”, he noted.

The new IMAC-24™ system will be on display in KFGI’s booth at the Material Handling Industry of America’s ProMat 2003 International Exposition at Chicago’s McCormick Place from February 10-13. For more information, go to www.kfgi.com.
