(June 21, 2005) Globe Composite Solutions Receives Metroplex Leadership Award Dallas, TX. The Dallas Baptist University and CEO Institute held its inaugural Christian Business Leadership Award dinner on June 16th at DBU’s Hillcrest Great Hall of the John G. Mahler Student Center. Globe Composite Solutions, Ltd. was one of the thirteen honorees at this event which recognized Dallas-area companies whose employees and leaders demonstrate Biblical principles and excel in the marketplace. Other honorees included Pilgrim’s Pride and Freedom Document. “By God's grace, I am humbled and pleased that our company was presented with this award”, said Carl W. Forsythe, President and CEO of Globe Composite Solutions, Ltd. “We have encountered numerous challenges over the past ten months related to our acquisition of the assets of Globe Rubber Works, Inc. and this award is a testament to the quality and character of our employees and Board of Directors”, he added. The Christian Business Leadership Award was the brainchild of CEO Institute founder and President, Lane Kramer and Dr. Denny Dowd, Vice President for Graduate and Corporate Affairs at Dallas Baptist University. Companies that are nominated for this award are evaluated for its efforts in promoting and sustaining a business environment which models Christian values for its employees, customers, vendors and surrounding community. (May 22, 2005) Globe Composite Solutions Begins Lean Training for All Employees Today, Globe Composite Solutions, Ltd. took its first major step in enhancing the quality and efficiency of its operations by conducting the first series of LEAN manufacturing training programs to all its employees. These programs, which will run from May 22 to June 8, was moderated by MassMEP, a federal technology transfer agency associated with the Department of Labor. In mid-June, the company will begin its TIPS problem-solving program. In late-June, the company will conduct value-stream mapping, 5S and Kaizen programs, beginning with its material handling work cell. |
